TRIM THAT DOUBLE CHIN

While you try losing weight from the body, often you neglect your face. And when you start reducing, the plump face with excess fat and double chin starts looking much heavier as compared to the body and may be embarrassing at times. It’s important to simultaneously work out your body as well as face including jaw line and double chin to achieve a balance in both. Here, are some exercises that you may accompany with daily workout,
Exercises for the jaw
Stretching
While you sit straight on a chair, tilt your head backwards and look up at the ceiling. Stretch out your neck and open your mouth slightly. Here, you will feel a stretching in the neck and chin muscles. Hold on for 10-15 sec and get back to original position. Keep repeating whenever you are free during the entire day.
Lip Exercise
This exercise may be performed in both sitting or standing position. Pull out your jaw maximum and try to pull your lower lip upward towards the nose. Hold for 10-15 sec then release. Repeat this 10 times daily.
Tongue Exercise
This is actually a funny thing to do, but go for it, if you wish to lose your jaw fat faster. While you are standing, look forward, open your mouth as wide as you can and stretch out your tongue maximum. This will give good work out to your chin and neck and facial muscles. Hold on for fee seconds and release. Repeat the activity 10 times each day.
Jaw Crunches
Sit straight on a chair and tilt your head backwards, tilt the maximum that you can by shutting your jaw. Now open your jaws wide and further tilt back your head. Hold on this position, now alternately close and open your jaws for a min. Repeat it thrice a day.
Side Jaw Crunches
It is similar to jaw crunches as above. The only difference is that, here you tilt your head side ways and perform crunches so that the side muscles on your jaws and neck get exercised well. Repeat on each side.
Keep smiling
Smile as hard as you can and hold on for few seconds. Repeat this several times whenever you are free or sitting idol.
Along with the above exercises, it is extremely important to take up any cardiovascular activity such as running, jogging, aerobics, dancing, swimming or just a brisk walk. It helps burn the stored body fat and also increases the metabolic rate which helps your burn fat faster and lose weight overall.
Take care of your diet:
To lose fat from any body part, it is important to take care of your diet too. Cut down on refined breads and bakery products, refined cereals, sugary stuff, oily foods, red meat, preserved and canned eatables. Prefer whole grains with fiber, fresh fruits and vegetables, skim milk and it’s products, good quality protein such as egg whites, lean chicken, fish, beans, soy, nuts, etc. Have plenty of fluids and water, about 3-4 liters/day. Limit the intake of salt to 3 gm/day and avoid sugar as far as possible.
